Considerable achievements have been made in environmental protection reconstruction project of DDS dedusting, desulfurization and denitrification for flue gas in Baogang Group

  The project of DDS dedusting, desulfurization and denitrification for flue gas in Baogang Group has made considerable achievements. The discharged flue gas of 3# boiler in thermal power plant of Baogang Group steadily reached the ultra low emission environmental standards. High-purity (>99%) liquid SO2 was continuously produced as a byproduct of the desulfurization process. The liquid SO2 can be sold as the chemical materials.
  On September 16, leaders from Baotou Bureau of industry and information technology and Kunqu branch of Baotou Ecological Environment Bureau visited the project site of the Power Generation Operation Department of the General Power Plant and listened to the introduction of the project results.
  It is understood that DDS dedusting, desulfurization and denitrification technology for flue gas are scientific research results obtained by Dr. Xionghui Wei of Peking University after more than 30 years of theoretical and experimental research. The exhaust gas treated by this technology can meet the requirements of ultra-low emission standards. The removed sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides are enriched and converted into pure liquid sulfur dioxide products and nitrate products, resulting in greater economic benefits and the transformation of waste into treasure.
  In addition, compared with traditional dust removal, desulfurization and denitrification methods, this technology has the remarkable characteristics of high purification efficiency, strong adaptability, strong stability, no secondary pollution, non-toxic and harmless of dedusting and desulfurization agents.
  When introducing DDS dedusting, desulfurization and denitrification technology for flue gas, Dr. Xionghui Wei said that the technology can fundamentally reduce the pollution of dust (including PM particles and nanoparticles), HF, HCl, dioxins, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and other organic matter, heavy metals, sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxides in the flue gas to atmosphere.
  Another major innovation is the production of high-purity sulfur dioxide and nitrate after desulfurization and denitrification, which can be used as chemical raw materials to realize the real transformation of waste into treasure. Third, the dedusting agent and desulfurization solution can be used in full cycle, without the generation of secondary pollutants such as calcium sulphate. The application of the new technology reduces overall operating costs and improves the operating efficiency.
